The Conductor Merlot 2018 Philip ShawThe Conductor is a beautifully succulent and savoury merlot. On the nose there is ripe plum and red currant, with fleshy red berry fruits on the palate as well as notes of mushroom and dried herbs. It is a medium bodied wine with fine, savoury tannins, giving structure and length. The fruit was harvested in March, then hand sorted to remove any damaged berries and leaves. Grapes were then transferred into fermenters, where fermentation kicked off
