Chateau-Fontenil 2016In 1980's Michel Rolland acquired few hectares of land in commune of sailans calling it Chateau Fontenil after name of a plot in the vineyard. This is not to say that there were not vines here beforehand. Historically, Fontenil vines were in the possession of the Nol family of Chteau du Faure Haut Normand which seems to be in ruins. This Fronsac estate lay just to the north of the modern day Chteau Fontenil. Blend: 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet
