Made in Sterling Silver, it is hallmarked 'H&T' for the maker Hilliard & Thomason and the date '30 March 1848'. Hilliard & Thomason were among the exhibitors at the Great Exhibition of 1851 in London. Brooch measures 3" long x 1. 5" wide.
