Georgian Era Eye Mourning BroochGeorgian era brooch in the shape of an eye, in 18k gold with natural pearls and black enamel details. There is a central locket compartment that contains finely woven hair. A very sentimental brooch as the Victorians used seed pearls to signify tears. Engraved "W Harris Thomas. OB 30 July 1826, AE 29 Years". English in origin. Circa 1820 Original brooch fixture attached with later jump ring attached. Measures 2" in length.
