60s vintage watch mens Universal Geneve ref 404604 -4 polerouter microtor 218-2The Polerouter was produced in 1954 by Universal Genve in partnership with Scandinavian Airline System (SAS) by a then 24 year old Gerald Genta. Universal Genve developed the automatic Polerouter to be more resistant to the strong magnetic fields at the North and South poles. The version you see here is gold plated steel with a stunning gold dial. Overall, this is a beautiful designed watch with a rich aviation history and stunning microtor movement.
