R. occidentale 'Don's Vivid Bi-Color'After sowing seed that I collected in a stand of Western Azalea, R. occidentale, I was able to grow close to 50 babies into adult, mature size azaleas. When they bloomed, most were the common white and pink, and a bit of yellow. But one was very vivid in color, with the flare of yellow orange color. I planted that in our gardens and now have been propagating it from cuttings to share with the Western Azalea fans.
