Ebonised thumb moulded handle with domed lid and oval knop. The body is raised on a stepped base sitting on four orb feet. The crest to the main body is that of the Baines family of York. Hallmarked for York 1812 by Robert Cattle & James Barber. Please note that the York town mark does not appear for the 1812 year cycle (as per Jacksons Hallmarks). In excellent
